Tape player won't play.

So my tape player in my rx-7 will take the tape in and spin as though it wants to play but aboslutely nothing happens. If anyone has any idea of what it could be i appreciate it. Thanks,

Who the hell still uses tapes? Time to upgrade to a cd player or a new deck with an Ipod hook up. Their not that expensive.

i hit play and my tape player works for a second and then goes into reverse. i use it since an ipod tape adapter gives infinitely better sound quality than a radio transmitter

Same thing i bought one of the ipod tape player type deals, nothing just spins. doesn't play the music.

So I'm guessing the head units with the 3.5mm AUX-IN aren't that cheap over in the US? Here it's like the minimum you can buy.

I'd say pull it out and check all the connections, particularly the speaker wires.
