T04B69 info

Don't know a whole lot about turbo sizing and have been having issues with the stock twins and want to switch to a single. I found a turbo its a garret/honeywell to4b69 for 200 and I think its a pretty good deal its never installed on anything just somebody cleaning out the garage. He said his grandfather bought it for a rotary drag sand rail. Just don't know if it would be too big for my mostly stock engine. I'm only wanting to make around 10 psi until i can get supporting fuel mods and all of the other bits that go with more than stock boost. Any info will help thanks -Sam

I don't know about that specific turbo, but if their grandfather bought it then it may be a little dated technology. If I were you, and this goes for a lot of things, spend the extra money to get a good part now that can alos support you in the future. Otherwise you're just going to be buying something else later down the line. "There are two ways to do something: the right way, and again".

Hi mate, i had a look into this turbo the other day but couldn't find any specs on it. Maybe post your inquiry up in the Single Turbo section. I'm sure some of the boffins will see it there and be able to oblige you.

I completely understand a limited budget! That's what I'm dealing with now. Hope you find a good deal on a good turbo.

Did some more research and it looks like it's the turbo used on the OBS 7.3 superduty. I found a post about someone running one on a FC and I believe he said he got full boost with it around 3000. But not sure how much boost or power he was making. Anyway I think I'm gonna go another route with it because he said coustom fabrication was required because of the compressor outlet.
