Which swap? Ls1 2jz or vq35de?

I'm about to buy a turbo 2 with no trans and no engine and was wondering what you guys thought of what swap I should put in. I was going to put this on the regular technical section but I don't have enough post to put it up on there. So which swap should I do. And ls1, a single turbo 2jz or a twin turbo or possibly ITB'd vq35de? Thanks.

It all comes down to your budget. I recently looked into 2jz and found one on ebay for 6k with trany. 2-3 if you dont need supra tranny. LSx will big you the best bang for the buck and parts are cheap and easy to repair. I've never been a fan of VQ, I rather go RB.

Grab a Speed 6 instead of a 2jz. I'd love to see a 400 hp NA straight 6 in an FC...

I'm a personal van for the V8 ..LS1 Aluminum block , better weight distribution .

but at the same time it depends what your goal is for the car. is it just going to be a dyno queen?

a track car ? ,

a show car ?

a street car ?

auto-x Car ?

Think about the endgame and how best to prepare the car for that endgame

13B REW

I have had great luck with SR20DETs, so I would even consider going that route. A straight six may be tough to balance (you would have to bury a couple of cylinders in the firewall at tleast to maintain W/D. People end up with good balance and power with LS motors.

Do you have a power goal in mind? Like someone else said, what will the car be used for?

Keep it rotary!!

If you don't want to go the rotary route an sr20det would be my first choice.

If this is your first car I don't think putting an ls1 or 2jz would be in your best interest, even the stock Turbo rotary is fast.

13B REW would require a crapload of work.
13B RE however is a lot less frustration.

Because u are 16 go with na 13b. Brothers and friends working at shop aint enough. You gotta learn how to become your own mechanic first.

I also vote go RB or keep it Rotary.

Better hope they are willing to do all the work...
Don't forget to consider the rear end, it'd suck if you went through all the work of a swap to kill the diff after a few launches.
