yea man same here i just bought mi fc and the same thing happens.but try cleaning the tracks to do this first have to open the sunroof . i did this by preesing the buton and then by helping the sunroof open by pressinf against it from the part of the sunroof that is located towards the back of the car.(while pressing the buton you have to help it open by giving it a push. hope this helps

Hey its me again,i looked into the owners manual and the haynes book and if you have the second gen(fc) then there should be a manual override right behind the sunroof there is a little plug that you take out to open it manually ,you need some sort of tool though.

The tracks for the FC sunroofs need cleaned and lubed occasionaly. Continually operating a sticking one will break the drive mechanism. Download the FSM from the following link and make the needed repair.

Hey man and if that doesnt work you can always go to the junkyard like i did and get a motor that works for cheap. I picked one up for 5 bucks.

I have to push up the sunroof to when i want to use it, but will lubricating the tracks make it so i won't have to push it anymore? it's not much of an inconvenience, just curious to see if it works

I tried pushing up while pressing button and I heard a crack. Now my sunroof stuck maybe 1/8th open. The drivers side is more open than the passenger side. I have no clue what to do from here. My car is going to get flooded when it rains. Doh.

No ptoblem theres an overide skrew thing thats right be hind the sunroof. It has a little cover that you take out then find something to place inside and start to unskrew or skrew the little **** thing.but u can always check the manual(car manual) and it should have the sunroof thing mines is a bluish color and its on page 3-60 it tells u how to manual override the sunroof.
