stock radiator fan in fc

the previous owner of my car replaced the stock fan with an electric fan. and it doesn't have an under tray anymore either. is it really that bad to be running electric fan with no under tray? people say it'll run hotter i just wanna know if it really will and should i try and find the stock fan again? thanks!

It's detrimental to run any setup without the undertray. Cooling ability will be lessened a bit, so it would be a good idea to find one before summer rolls around again. Many people will also use undersized e-fans with little or no shrouding, which can also increase your operating temps.

Put the tray back on and If you are sticking with an E-fan setup look for a Merc-Villager E-fan.It blows like Nutz on Hi speed!
The fan has a shroud that pretty well fits with minimal cutting.
