NS steering lock removal - ideas?

I need to switch out the steering lock on my SA -
Are there any better ideas than the chisel and screwdriver method.

The chisel method only takes a few minutes. Just grab a 1/4 or 3/8 "cold chisel" (metal chisel) and tap the edge of the bolt head to turn it counter clockwise. Using this method it only took me about ten minutes to remove the lock from my car.

i used a hack-saw to put a flat-head screw driver slot in each bolt head.

Cold chisel did it immediately for me after messing with it for a few hours before trying it
