Question Starting Trouble

I bought my car about three weeks ago, it's a 1990 RX-7 Coupe. When I bought it everything checked out fine with the engine that I was told to check up on, same as with other parts of the car like rust. But recently it's been having staring issues... At first it wasn't to bad, it was the standard click click start problem but after installing a new starter it pretty much wouldn't start unless I was getting jumped by a stronger battery, but it would star without jump as long as it was warm. But then it started not starting at all, just click click click. So.. I bought a bigger battery and fixed the blatantly terrible job of the ends of the battery wires but still wouldn't start. I then had someone roll my car back while I had it in gear and the clutch pressed in and it started with only a bit of trouble... Any idea here?

I've replaced spark plugs, spark plug cables, fuel filter, and starter since I've gotten the car. It came with an Apex'i intake and exhaust as its only mods.

This can probably be disregarded as I think I found the problem and it was just me being an idiot. Thanks for looking though

Could you share the problem/solution? I would like to add it to my personal "idiot" file.

Well I don't think it's purely the problem but I wasn't letting the injectors prime =_=... it still has problems starting although it cranks... I'm going to check the ignition once I get the chance. But if anyone has ideas =]

Injectors don't prime on your car.

Check your fuel pressure could be the fuel pump (assuming I am reading correctly and you have it cranking reliably now but a hard start or extended crank condition)

You might want to check compression. Mine was hard to start without a fully charged battery and I ended up having a bad seal

I'm planning on getting that done this weekend. Hopefully I don't need a rebuild.. can't really do it until the start of next year.

That would be my next step, thanks.
