Stalls randomly well driving.

i just bought an 88 RX7 GXL with only 120k on the motor. The car is almost flawless except with a small tear in the convertible top behind the drivers seat. The car runs great and sounds great but has one issue. He told me it it dies intermittently once every few months well driving. Once this happens he just needs to let the car sit for 10-15 minutes and the car will start right up and run just fine with no codes or anything being thrown. Apparently it happens at all different speeds. he has replaced dam near every part he thought it could be, spark plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter. The only thing he hasn't replaced is the fuel pump. It definitely sounds maybe like a fuel issue to me but I was curious if anyone else has had this problem before I go start trying to figure it out.

sounds like a seizing fuel pump or faulty fuel pump control relays. secondary would be the airflow meter, the fuel pump switch inside the meter can intermittently fail.

funny how he changed everything except the obvious.

Jumper the fuel check connector and if the problem ceases to exist then the AFM is problematic.
