i cant even get the car to start .. it turns over but wont start .. its getting fuel .. its getting air .. and its getting spark .. i have checked it for vaccum leaks and i havent found any .. i replaced the 2 gaskets for the intake manifold (plenum) ... i didnt dissasemble the engine at all tho just pulled it out of one car and put it in the other and it was running in the other car .. when i swaped it over i got it to start a couple times with grave effort but now for some reason it wont start ... i marked everthing and took pictures so i can make sure i hooked everthing back up right ... but it just wont start .. im at a brick wall and i dont know what to do

 

1. Get your hands on the factory service manual (FSM). If you don't buy one, there are links in the FAQ section where you can download one. There are procedures there to troubleshoot a will not start problem.

2. Check the obvious things: timing; correct wiring of the high tension leads to the leading and trailing plugs; adjustment of the TPS sensor; have the compression checked. Try clearning a flooded start; i.e. crank with throttle full for 10-20 secs to clear out any excess fuel, then back off the throttle and see if it starts (89-91s have a hot start assist system which cuts off the injectors when you apply full throttle with the starter engaged).

Get the book, go by the procedures, you will find it.

 

Since your checking everything might as well check compression.
