snapped bolt on uim
snapped bolt on uim
I snapped the bolt that connects the uim and lim. Not the long one but the one thats by the hose for the intercooler. Do i need a new manifold or can replace just that bolt or can i run the car without it...?

If it is one of the 5 bolts that holds the lower to the Upper manifold then yes,you would need to get that looked at or replaced, whatever.
You would get a Vacuum leak without all bolts securing the manifolds together.
They are studs are they not (4 short)?

Wellyou have to take the upper manifold off to get at it.
The studs are attached to the lower manifold. They just screw in there too.Now if the stud has broken the aluminum around it then either get it welded or remove and replace the lower manifold.
If you have to replace the lower manifold then you are looking at new gaskets, 2 water O rings inbetween the mani and engine.,some coolant.
Gotta take the turbo off too to take the lower manifold off.
