Smoke in engine bay on start
I am looking at an 88 RX-7, all the fuel system is new up to the engine, has new spark plugs but its hit or miss weather it even starts, when it does it throws white smoke out the engine bay, and doesnt idle at all, i know it is hard to determine what the problem is without being able to see in person, but info is nice to have.
also the car is $600, would it be worth it to get it? i dont have much more if any to spend on it getting it running, it seems to run good other than starts and no idle. fuel is new, new spark plugs, but have not tested compression, if that is bad what would it cost to get it running?
thanks

Sounds like a worn out POS junker. If you are mechanically inclined and looking for a project car (keeping in mind that you may have to replace the engine), then $600 isn't very much money. If you are expecting a few minor repairs and then the car back on the road, then no, it's not a good idea.

pretty much whichever car you get.. running or not running, its going to suck the money right out of your wallet... i suggest getting a car from someone who hasnt abused it... better to find one thats running bro!
