Depends what you're using the car for. I'd recommend them for race track usage only. For street driving, I'd say no. You won't need the extra grip on the street, or if you do, you are doing something very dangerous. The increased traction will cause excessive wear to the drivetrain during aggressive starts and they do not last very long. Dunlop star spec's, Hankook rs3's and Falken 615k's are very capable street tires. But in the end, it's your car to enjoy as you see fit.

street tire. from experience they are the best i have ran.

I agree with the others. First, they are highly limited as a street tire because they are terrible in rain and to get full grip they need some heat in them. You can't control that on the street.

Plus if you drive them much off the track they'll harden and become slower on the drag strip. So now you have a tire that does poorly at both.

FD wheels are cheap and light and relatively wide. Buy a full set of aggressive street tires and buy two more wheels for your drag radials.

I've personally drove with slick radials on the street, and i would not recommend them haha. I'm currently using Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec and would highly recommend them for street driving.

I drove home from the track with ET street radials in the rain, it was terrifying.

It's a moot point but as said already Slicks on the street full time is a very bad idea. They have a very high limit but no warning when they are about to be overwhelmed. I have used Nitto NT01's and liked them a lot.

If you want to spend less and if ride comfort is important, the Continental ExtremeContact DW's are a good choice. They're also superb in the rain, better than the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs.

Go with Continental DWS if your climate permits. If you barely get any rain then the Star Specs will do wonders for you.

I'd go with a straight high performance street tire. Slicks are useless and dont have any traction until you get some heat into them. Which is impossible to maintain on the street.

"Slick radials" if you mean no grooves in the tread are for dry racing surfaces ONLY. Grooves in the tread allows water to flow out without causing hydroplaning, depending on your speed and how much water there is. Does this answer your question?
