I have a friend who has a fd himself with a single turbo upgrade, which he.would like to sell me. The question I have is the turbo smokes does this mean its blown? And if so is it worth rebuilding? It's a precision turbo.......thanks guys

It could be a number of things.

Maybe the turbo needs an oil restrictor.

Maybe there is excess crank case pressure.

Maybe the engine is burning oil.

Perhaps the oil drain is set up poorly.

 

Huh .....well he said he would take it off this weekend so I can check it out anything I should look for besides shaft play? Thanks for the help .....
