Should I get new Ignition coils and wires
Hi there. So I just want to know, how important is it to get new spark plug cables/ignition wires (whatever the name) and new ignition coils?
I just got my engine rebuilt and am putting everything back now, Should I buy new wires or coils? I have no idea how old mine are, the cables are blue in color and seem pretty fresh. (are the stock ones blue?) Are these parts something that need to be replaced frequently as a reliability mod?
Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

Well the coils are fine then. they worked before the rebuild. so should be fine. Spark plugs were replaced. So it's worth it to change the wires?
Should I get factory wires? (from mazda or where?) or is there some aftermarket company that makes better performing wires that I should buy?

raceing beat makes a really nice plug wire thats made to last. I just purchased a pair a few months ago, because i had an "electrical storm" under the hood due to arching plug wires. Their a little pricey but well worth the performance and quallity of the wire. make sure you read each set of wires because they have different years , and full race wires that u dont wanna use with your every day driver, or an msd set up due to radio interfearence. heres the link...
btw im just a consumer, i do not work for/with RB. wish i could lol DISCOUNT jaja

Thanks for that link, I should have probably specified that I have a 93 FD RX-7 though. haha that link is for 2nd gen..
Wires for FD are only $100. I wouldn't say that's a lot. cheaper than for FCs.. weird. Yeah I will buy these then.
