shifter quesitons
im rebuilding my car. the problem is when i bought my new transmission it didnt have a shifter. ive looked everywhere and my options are a short shifter from mazdatrix designated 86 yo 88 model the oem shifter goes 89 to 92..would the oem shifter fit or is it diffrent because the s4 s5 transmission diffrence(my car is an 88 and has a turbo 2 tranny

The thread pitch on the shifters is different, so you'll have to order a **** for the shifter you use... Other than that, I think it should work.
