Shift Light in fifth gear

I have the shift light when I am in fifth gear. If I hold the shift lever all the way forward in fifth, the light goes off. Is there any adjustment on the tranny for the light.

Not sure if y'all found a fix, but the same thing just started happening to my 87 Tii as well
