i got my car to start finally after my rebuild but when i shut off the motor it wont start over now, could that be cuz the timing is off? the only way i can get it to start now is by cluch starting it, i think the starter is fine cuz the motor cranks over,

That could be due to timing, or many other causes. For example, lube and stuff used during the build could have fouled the plugs. Rebuilds on worn housings often have very low compression and require a period of breakin before they starter. Maybe there is another problem caused by how you assembled things, such as vacuum leaks.
Make sure the CAS is stabbed correctly. Turn the engine until the yellow timing pointer lines up. Then remove the CAS and pull off its cover. Turn the CAS until the pointer at the bottom lines up to the dimple and then insert it using your thumbs to prevent the rotor from turning. The two tooth wheel will end up at about 8 and 2 o'clock. Then start the engine and check timing.
