Serious Fuel Gauge Issues

I just got my FC on the road last week and ive been having alot of gauge related issues. One of the most annoying is my gas gauge. When i purchased the car about 3 weeks ago it was functioning fine. The problem i had was a faulty oil pressure gauge. My solution was swapping the entire guage cluster to once again have a functioning oil gauge. Wellllll that led to me now having a fuel gauge that didnt work and was stuck at 1/2 full. My next step was pulling the functioning fuel/temp gauge out of my old cluster and swapping them out on my new one.....that one doesnt work either. Last night i pulled the fuel pump out to look for signs of damage, but the whole unit seemed rather new. There are also pretty much no light bulbs in the back of my gauge cluster(the owner before removed them for white faces that i dont feel like unhooking) could this be part of the problem? where else should i look? what else can i do? im at a loss and have run outt gas 1 too many times already. any help with this will be greatly appreciated. thanx alot

Fuel Pump connects to the rear harness. There's a White/Green wire in this plug. This wire runs to the fuel gauge. Ground this wire temporarily w/the key to on and if the gauge works the needle will rise to the top ( do not allow the needle to stay at the top of the range too long or you could damage the gauge).

Running out of gas when you know you have a gauge problem is driver error.
Think one gallon @ I8 miles and you are fine, for now, until you get the gauge fixed.
That is plenty of room for Spirited driving.
You are in good Hands with Satch.
