Saddness

Just changed my fuel filter today, which is a pain in the *** btw, everything seemed to go fine started up just fine after i finished btu then i got on the road and tried accelerating. When i accelerate at a normal speed its fine but when i try accelerating fast it reaches about 3500-4000 rpm and then loses all power and back fires??? Also when in neutral if i rev it past 3500-4000 it has the same effect sometimes.
Some one help me i love my car and idk what the hell is up!

Did it work before the new filter?

If so, make sure the new filter is not clogged with packing material.

Yes

It worked fine before the filter, and the new one came with caps on the ends plus there wasnt any packing material in the box...if it was clogged then wouldnt it be lacking power constantly?

Yep sounds like the filter is partially clogged, or mis-assembled

I'd try a new filter - try to warranty the old one if possible.
