S6 electronic ignitor module dead?

So I recently found out that i had no fuel system problem with my car after I deflooded the chambers.
Then i moved on and cleaned the spark plugs and decided to do a spark test so i held a spark plug to a ground and arced the spark plug to a strut bolt noticed no spark whatsoever. Could this possibly be a result of a dead electronic ingiter module ? I've called local shops and they do not provide testing for the module, is their any way another mazda model carries a similar item so that way I can go to a wrecker and pull one out to test it for cheap oppose to buying a new one?

FWIW, I think ignitor failure is very rare. BUT they are self-grounding. Try cleaning the two 10mm bolts that it mounts with. Otherwise I'd check continuity to the coils and/or the coils themselves. Think there's a bench-test set out in the FSM coils.
If your certain it's an ignitor, they're available used in the Parts for Sale section. I saw a thread this morning that had one listed in a part-out.

Got it running a local rx7 friend had a spare module and now the cars runs but now there's a slow smoke rising above from where the front pipe is could possibly a wet gasket from gasoline ?
