S5 GTUS coolant leak

Hi everyone,

I seem to have a coolant leak from the front of the engine. It is not leaking from the water pump. It seems to be coming from the bottom of the front of the engine, near the lower radiator hose area. There is a connector/sensor to the right of where the lower radiator hose connects to the block, and coolant is dripping off of that.

I was thinking it is the lower radiator hose itself that is leaking, but I am not sure, as it is hard to see down there. Any ideas?

Thanks

Smile Solved

For anyone wondering or with similar problems, I figured out what it was. The thermostat housing has a small crack in the back side of it, and it leaked and ran down the front of the engine, dripping all over the front bottom area.

I couldn't find a part locally, so I will be ordering one online, and patching it with some RTV and electrical tape until the new part comes in, as I still need to drive the car.
