S4 redline questions

Hi all, I've searched and not found a clear answer about the rev limiter on an s4. Does it have one? I would think as a semi modern car it should and have seen posts claiming either fuel/ignition cut from 7600~8200. I know the s5 has a higher redline. I took my car out drifting and on a higher speed corner a glance at the tach showed me in the 7900 reason. Which I promptly stopped and let the car idle for a bit before turning it off. Car still runs fine but I do not want to cut short my fun time by popping a motor due to stupidity. Thanks in advance.

Revving the **** out of it is not going to make you go faster. Just shift when it beeps at you!
