S4 Brake Cooling Ducts... Important?

So those brake cooling ducts in the bumper of the S4 - how important are they?
If I replace/ remove them are my brakes going to overheat? I plan to use the car on the track this summer but it is a daily driver so it's not like I overuse my brakes. Just wanted some opinion before I take the passenger one out...

Well some offered 4 piston calipers for the front end. If you have those and are planning on taking it to the trake I know I'd keep them personally. On the flip side of things if you're driving it on the street I've also seen people put fog lights in the front of the ducts. Basically what it boils down to is what kind of driver you are. If you like your brakes and you drive hard. Prolly be best to keep them or replace them. It really wouldn't hurt. But as I said just my opinion.

So really it's up to you
