S4 backpressure with APEXI N1 catback?
I was thinking about buying the APEXI N1 catback for myy NA and was wondering with stock headers and cats would i still have enough pressure for the ports to open?
can i also swap for rb headers combined with the N1's and still maintain pressure?
or am i SOL?
i heard you can wire them to open instead of pressure?

With stock cats, the ports will still open.
If you get the RB headers and presilencer then it has an activation port for the aux actuators, so they should work as well.
Don't wire them open, that kills low end torque. If your ports are not opening after you install a header, use the air pump to actuate them as described in the 2nd gen archives or at http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...elec6port.html
One thing to keep in mind is that single N1 style exhausts on NAs with headers are very, very loud.

If by "beautiful" you mean "chainsaw on crack", then I guess we have different opinions of beautiful. The car will sound like it has 400HP, but will move like it has 150 HP.

RB makes header/exhaust option for the S4 13B it comes with a backpressure pickup...i would imagine if the make it with the back pressure pickup then the ports should work with that option.
Also i believe it works like this: if you wire the ports open your power range is above 4500rpm and if you leave them shut your power range is below that but you loose up top. The 5/6 ports were disigned to make a smooth transition of power through out your RPMs. Personally unless i was going to go with a SERIOUS build (extended street port or bridge port or peripheral ports with ITBs and/or turbo or something like that) then I would keep the 5/6 port acuators working properly...
