RX7 Stalling

Hello
Ive bought a 1993 RX7 Single Turbo.
The car starts up and ticks over fine, but after a while of driving when i get to a junction, the revs get really low and sometimes the car cuts out. I just start it back up and drive on.
Ive heard that theres a screw somewhere at the back of the engine that you turn to alter the tickover.
If this is true, can anyone please tell me where abouts it is.
Thanks
Rich

I don't know what "tickover" means...

However, your problem is indicative of a vacuum leak or an idle valve failure.

I'm not a 3rd gen person so hopefully now that this thread is approved someone else will chime in.

Tickover means revs. The Revs seem to drop low then it stalls unless i keep reving the engine at the junction

Sounds like the throttle body settings need to be checked and adjusted. Its more than one screw.

This is a decent thread on troubleshooting idle issues but it focuses on TPS:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=idle

The Factory Service Manual also has the procedures for troubleshooting and fixing idle issues. It can be downloaded from a sticky in the 3rd gen section.

I used to have a link somewhere to a thread on adjusting the various settings of the throttle body but can't find it right now.
