RX7 S7 starting problem, not flooded!
Recently bought an rx7, 1998 and WAS running mint. Not your standard batty, apexi ecu, gt35/40 turbo water injected and the list goes on. Heres the situation:
Was running fine, no smoke and no funny noises. Stalled it, pushed it inside and started it up. then i turned it off straight away (my bad im new to rotarys). The next day it wouldnt start, most likely flooded it so i removed the sparkplugs and the egi fuse and turned it over. cleaned the plugs also. but it didnt start. (battery's fine)
Mechanic said it had no compression on both rotors but it was cold when he did it and hes not a specialist. It was running fine and now no compression?!
Any help appreciated!!!
(has 3mm seals and had a rebuild not long ago)

Sometimes when you flood, then deflood it, the gasoline will clean all of the oil out of the chambers. This will cause low compression and I have seen is advised on this forum to add some oil into the chambers to lubricate the seals again.
Sorry I have no experience with this and can only repeat what I have read, hope it helps.

If the mechanic is not exactly a Rotary guy then he can say anything, and since he is a Mechanic, people would likely believe him!
Clean the Plugs off,Pull the EGI fuse and roll the engine over about 5-10 seconds.
Then Put about 2 tablespoons of Oil in the spark plug holes.Roll the engine over about 3 seconds,(that will coat the internals.)
Then Put your plugs in and put the EGI fuse back in and Try to start it.
.......
IF The car was Running Before you had this Problem, then is NO WAY in hell that it would blow the seals and have ZERO compression.
.SEE?..your mechanic is full of HOOEY!
By the way, turning a rotary suddenly before it gets warm,CAN flood the car.IT is a quirk...those 30 second Off and on things just "**** the car off!"..
