The Mazda dealership sold me 2 new motor mounts for my RX-7 FC 1987 GXL. Noob question, but I don't see any threaded studs on either end of the mount (see pic). The old ones have threads. Did I get the wrong ones? Or am supposed to cut off the rubber to expose threaded studs?

is that not a plastic cap protecting the threads? or someone just didn't clean excess rubber off of it.

 

hi, no, I dont think there is a removal cap here.

 

Mine came with caps like that.

 

okay, it is a cap! I just yanked it off. All good.
