RX7 demons
Currently my 87 gxl wants to do it's own thing. Connected the battery the other day to find that my hazards are on non stop until power supply is disconnected. Upon attempted starting of the car with the Jerry rigged toggle and push start I noticed the main fuse instantly went on me. Replaced it with another 80a poof same thing. Upgraded to a 100a this time I think the crappy aftermarket switch **** the bed. So instead of banging my head against the dash I bought the switch from Mazda and I can now use my key YAY. Car fired up first try but my hazards are still going to their own tune. At this point whatever, put in in gear fly out of my driveway and bring her back home momentarily. Turn off walk away. Minutes later no start but hazards flashing away. I did quite a bit of research and have only found that this is my car giving me a heads up that my charging system is screwy? (and please correct me if I am wrong) So I took my battery to the local parts store and it holds a charge due to their diagnosis. Slap it back under the hood still flashing away the secound electrical circuit is a closed loop and the second I turn my key past accessory to start drains my battery instantly. Now this would leave me with my alternator or possibly a bad ground to check for as my next suspect(right?). Not sure if there is any other things I can do before I need to start wrenching away. Any and all advice is appreciated this is my first RX7 and i just want to drive it. Please help FAST!...

You seem to be doin alright on your own. So lets start with the grounds make sure they r all good, then your flasher switch is it burnt at the plug. Also what kind of shape is your car in. is the wiring dry rotted in good shape what? P.S I wouldnt get to upset bc its hard to give ideas on a car that youve never seen and like I said earlier you seem to be on the right track.

You've presented a lot of symptoms in a difficult to read format. Can you perhaps re-post them in a point form list?
Have you connected the battery backwards?
Any chance the car was very wet at some point?
