running problem

running problem
car started up but only reved up to 2000rpm and would like bog out and just backfire anyone know what might be the cause?

Yeah, Ive got a similar prob. Car starts hard then when I rev it up on normal driving the idle bounces around and backfires constantly.

I can't help with any specific advice for 3rd gen owners, but with any RX-7, these problems are almost always caused by vacuum leaks and/or a misadjusted/bad TPS.
