Question rtek, and ecu questions

I'm in the process of a TII swap on my s4 na. Now my question is, I'm planning on getting a down pipe, exhaust, intake, would rtek be a good thing to use? I'm kinda confused on how it works, is it just soldered into my ecu and then makes small corrections the light modifications I add, or does it need to be tuned? I am also debating on eliminating the omp, and premixing, would this also affect it?

I went to their website, and the faq section, but was still a little confused, thanks guys!

An Rtek would be ideal for those mods. You can probably get by with the 1.7, which is just a chip swap on the ECU. It assumes a fixed set of mods, like those you mentioned plus a set of 720CC secondaries.

On the S4, the ECU has nothing to do with the metering oil pump.

In my experience(and my eyes getting bad) I would opt to get the chip installed from Pocketlogger.(let them go through the hassle!)
The Ecu Chips have the about 32 small legs that you have to de-solder and then take the whole chip out all at once(and there is TWO chips to remove for an RTEK 2.1),,it is a big pain in the ***!
I tried getting just the chip and bought a soldering iron to do it and then changed my mind.By the time I found that nobody in my area would install a ECU chip in my Car's computer I wasted alot more than if I would have just Bucked up and sent the ECU to Pocketlogger!
