Finally got my 87 RX-7 running .
It came as a basket case.
After replacing the ECU It started firing.
Blew the ECU by remoning intake w battery attached
Now no air leaks and found the fast idle adjustment
It will idle at about 1400 but diesels
Also floods easily . Have to disconnect fuel pump and let it run out of gas then it will hot start. What do you guys think may be wrong now?? Don't plan to use it for anything but Rally Racing trailered to the event so it just has to have power .

Maybe rewrite your situation more clearly. With only one beer in, I'm having trouble figuring this out....

Chill guys, I'm sober and borderline-retarded, I'll get this for you
>he bought an 87
>came in boxes because the PO had never put it back together
>he put it together
>made a mistake and fried the ECU
>couldn't get spark
>he replaced the ECU, and it ran
>now he's having trouble because it barely idles and is dieseling
>it's also flooding every start
OP, drain the fuel tank, get some fresh high-octane in it if it's dieseling. Dieseling is the fuel igniting before the spark tells it to, usually caused by terrible fuel and severe carbon build up. IT CAN KILL YOUR ENGINE
I'm certain that when you turn the key off the injectors SHOULD stop firing and spark should stop. I'm fairly certain your injectors are wired improperly or are sticking open, which would make sense if you had bad fuel.
Change the fuel filters (on the firewall on the driver's side and in the fuel tank, attached to the pump), clean the injectors (use google to search "clean fuel injectors")
Good luck, and may the god of triangles watch over you.

Get a copy of the Factory Service Manual.
Dieseling sounds like a timing/ignition issue...maybe?
Check that plugs are correct for the engine and wires are routed (leading and trailing) correctly?
Check output of coil(s)?
Pull injectors and have them cleaned and flow tested?
Using complete sentences with appropriate punctuation and spelling is always a plus. When you're asking for help, you don't want a reader to work for it too much. He might very well have an answer, but won't go to the touble to decipher the question...especially when you get beyond the NEW MEMBER SECTION.
