Is this right ? im going for good performance / good price! ?
ok so i bought my 88 rx7 was a 1 owner car ( old man all highway miles ).
the motor has 130k miles on it im not sure if its need of a rebuild or not runs great and no engine nose.
i want a good quick care for a low price! this is what iv picked up.
Car cost: 1100$ (a steal ? )
rims: 17" drifz fx 207b .. 600$
Exhaust: Greddy Titanium Exhaust .. 500$
intake kit: Greddy cold air intake .. 230$
now this is all iv picked up and iv not got much more to spend atm. is there any other "cheap" mods i can do?
and should my motor be overhauled ? ( if i do overhaul it should i do a mid street port? ). i dont want this car to be a big gas hog as im going to use it every day.
and also i was told to buy this model (non turbo as the motor was able to hold up to more stuff?)
im new to rx7's iv only owned 1 other one and that was when i was a kid. so please shed some light on me .
im in conway arkansas if anyone is around here or knows of a good rx7 tech in the area!

What are your plans for the car?
Do you intend to take it to a road racing course? AutoCross? Drag?
You can get in a Ferrari and still get beat by a Civic if you don't know how to drive... I say leave it as is and take it out to the autocross track. Learn to drive at the limit first.
As far as overhaul.. If it runs well, why overhaul it? Get a compression check done to see how much life the engine really has in it before considering it.
