Removing the Carb from an 85 1.1

Taking the Nikki off to do a rebuild. I started discinnecting some things, mostly so I could access the mounting bolts. Three of the are within reach now, but I have a question the one underneath the accelerator pump.

That one seems a bit tricky to get to, should I be taking the accel pump and some of the crap on that side off....(didnt seem so easy to do with the carb still mounted)

I can see the bolt, but its a a bad angle....I would say a crows foot, but then the angle would still be bad. I need something like a crows foot with a knuckle...I dunno.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I had this same problem...tried pulling a carb from Pick-n-Pull, but couldn't get that last bolt with the tools I had. Hoping someone chimes in with an answer.

even when i haven't stripped them, i've never needed more than a 12mm box wrench to remove them. if i remember (it's been a while) there will come a point where the wrench won't fit in there as the nut rises (insert x-rated joke here ) so you just use your fingers. that nut is a pain in the ***, but it is doable without any special tools.

Ive tried with sockets and and every little extension or fancy piece. A wrench is all thats needed.

I've read a few other forum posts where people have sacrificed cheapo wrenches, bending them, so they can get that one off. I tried with a standard open end wrench and I just couldn't get in there. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough.
