Is a rebuild worth it

I recently bought my first rotary, an 86 fc with hopes of next spring taking it to a few drift events. The car has 108,xxx and has no issues starting, even after sitting for 2 months, started up cold right away. Now I've heard the NA engines can last anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000. Now i have two questions:

1. Should the the engine be rebuilt over the winter since i plan on using the engine for drifting in the spring.

2. If i should the engine rebuilt how hard would it be to do it myself and how much would it cost for a shop in nj to do it.

sorry I have a lot of questions, i'd just rather build the car the right way than blow up the engine after a few drift events

1.) No
2.) I would recommend a shop do the rebuild for you. IR Performance is relatively close.

Drive the crap out of it first..
Why try to fix stuff if it isn't broke?
