Rear End Housings

I wanted to check with you guys whether or not a gsl or a gsl-se rear end is interchangeable with a gs rear end. And when I say rear end I'm referring to the housings being swapped as a whole unit with gears and brakes and everything. I know the gs has drums and the others do not, but to my understanding they are interchangeable.

Thee will be some question as to what year your car is, and what year the rear you want is, but other than that it is a very straight forward swap.

I did this a couple of years ago (my GS is a '85) and love it. The disc rears are nice, but the LSD is great! Much better performance.

Some will say that you also have to swap the master cylinder and proportioning valve. I did not do this, and the brakes work fine (great actually).

Good luck.
