Talking re rx7 seats

hey guys, was wondering what would be the best way going about making more room for the seats. the rx7 i have viewed is rather small in the cockpitdue to them not being standard seats, what would you guys advise to sort this out? would making the runners on the seats longer help? and would it cost alot of money. also where would the best place to get a roll cage for an rx7. thnx mike

I am 6'1", with legs that are more like someone who is 6'4" and I have no issue with leg room in the 7, in fact I usually drive with the seat moved up a couple notches from the back. Head room is another story. If you do need more leg room I would suggest custom fabricating your own bracket for either the stock seat or more than likely an aftermarket seat. Keep in mind that the stock seat goes back nearly as far as possible already... you will only be able to gain 2-3" at the most IIRC.

There are a few sources for roll cages, depending on what you want. JEGS has weld in cages for pretty cheap, or you can get a bolt in cage from autopower. depends on whether you want something that you can bolt in/out in a fairly short period of time, or if you want something that you will still have to custom fit and once it's in it is in there for good.
