Highlights-

420hp stock twins RE Amemiya FD beats all including 800hp R35 skyline.

Fujitsu/Feed FD doesn't make it to event.

I remember last year when someone from RE Amemiya announced on this forum they were producing 420rwhp on stock '92-98 twins and was met with skepticism.

Thats on mofidied twins I imagine . but atleast here in the US rebuilding the hitachi's and modifying them seems like out of the question . I had a set that I thought were bad and i wanted to get them rebuilt rather then buy another used set because i wanted to modify them , every local , turbo shop , and people here said that it was just not worth it . because A they never come out well , or B the parts are very hard to find and expensive .

So I decided to just wait and buy some BNR's instead .

it may be a lack of resources and experience here .

I know petit also offers a rebuild on the stock turbos . quite expensive But they dont even advertise any gains in power.

I believe he said the 420rwhp was stock '92-98 twins, I will try to find his post on this forum. I think he said it was the twin pipe downpipe that really helped bump the power.

No doubt they are way out of the compressor efficiency at that level- I guess that massive V-mount IC really helps.

Well they are modified stock turbos for 92-98. However they really aren't stock. Modified and ported wastegate with bigger compressor wheels and modified housings. Basically a new turbo and for the price that's basically what your getting. The only 2 companies I've seen offer this are Knight Sports and RE.

Anyone can get them done tho just find someone that speaks enough Japanese and hope they have English speakers there. Only difference I can see is price on shipping me being in Japan already.

I can get more information if you guys need it I speak enough Japanese and have enough Japanese friends to get any details you guys need. If your interested in getting it done not asking what all is done to the car cuz I know them guys stay hella busy.

My email is acura2gen@hotmail.com

I know this is an old post but try about $250,000 that's what it was last time I looked at the site.

Ah, not stock twins then? Less impressive.

I guess I figured since people have made 400rwhp from stock motor/stock twins set up for 10 years now the premier rotary tuner would be able to get 5% more horsepower out of stock twins.

well you know what they say, "Racing is the fastest way to turn money into noise."

Guess that's a matter of opinion. Still impressive if you look at how it destroys cars with shit loads of power and he's only running around 400-420. And although they are modified the turbos now shit on 99 ball bearing turbos in power and responsiveness. I'm running 99 turbos so that's saying a lot because I started with the 92-98 turbos and noticed night and day performance swapping. Anyone can swap to a single bottom line is you will never get the responsiveness that you get with 99s or modied earlier versions. You will make more power yes but it didn't work out well for Feeds FD vs REs

I was wondering if anyone can list the type of mods that were done to the touge monster car. I read it has around 360ps. Also how much would it cost to replicate the same type of mods out here?
