RE Amemiya Touge Monster's HP
I am trying to model my car after the 2006 touge monster. I have been studying the mods as best I can. I am having trouble on their website reading japanese. I was wondering if anyone can list the type of mods that were done to the touge monster car. I read it has around 360ps. Also how much would it cost to replicate the same type of mods out here?
|
im sorry but the re-amemiya rx7 (the light blue one) is not the togue monster. Look for the Fujita engineering rx7 (single turbo pushing 450hp) 100more than the re-amemiya rx7. the amemiya rx7 got wooped. and i got the link to the vid that ill show you when i get home!
i would replicate the Fujita rx7 with the suspension mods of the re-amemiya rx7 |
Im sorry but Re-amemiya rx7 is not the touge monster. Look up Fujita engineering rx7. Single turbo 450hp and corners just as good as the amemiya rx7. the only think i like about the amemiya rx7 is the suspension
|
 that car is UNTOUCHABLE!! i DARE you to replicate it
Tuned R35 GT-R killer!! http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/718/dscn1011yw7.jpg http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/2737/dscn1010zu6.jpg http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/2348/dscn1014ar9.jpg |
The car has fully maxxed out OEM Hitachi Twins in it's old state.
The tune will be difficult to replicate with our california 91 gasoline, but it is doable. Their new setup is a single turbo that makes around 450 horsepower. |
|
single turbo conversion and a standalone EMS...plus the usual reliability mods...
|
That car is probably worth at least $50k
But thats just a ballpark estimate. |
It has stock twins, re amemiya coilovers, and 255/40/17 advan tires on enkeis. Thats what i know of on the inside, the bodywork is obvious
|
as i said its not the togue monster anymore. sorry
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQyEIRUyEvQ theres even a video were it got it couldnt keep up with the fujita rx7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P03ovQMnZ8 |
Sick!!!!
|
I plan on going with the twin turbo setup. Are they using the 99 spec twin turbos? Also for that much horsepower are they still on stock injectors?

I plan on going wth the twin turbo setup. Does anyone know if they are using the 99 spec twins? Also for that much horsepower would they be using stock injectors still? Here are some pictures of my car currently. I plan to post more pics as the project comes together.

Would anyone know if the car is running 99 spec twin turbos? Upgraded injectors?
|
Sorry for the repeat posts. Still a newB, didn't know that my posts still needed approval...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQyEIRUyEvQ theres even a video were it got it couldnt keep up with the fujita rx7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P03ovQMnZ8 i think the feed would win against the re 7 but it still depends on the course. one with longer or more straightaways, the feed would win but on a course with many turns and few straightaways it might be close. i would like to see them compete though! that'd be great. btw fine2nr your car is very nice. that blue gives the car very smooth look to it. also if you type in the url of RE's site in google it will translate it. not very good translations but it makes going around the site easier. yahoo does it too and i think their's is a little better. |
Hey, I'm on the East coast, and working on a set up that's very similar. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it on the street 90% of the time. For me it's not just about going fast in a straight line. Real driving is all about the corners.
Here's a brief list of performance parts that I'm going to try and sneak past my wife this year. :-)~ Tell me what you think guys. I'm looking to join the 500HP club. Any help or advice is always appreciated. RotorSports Racing 13B TT Stage II rebuild $3699 ( Agressively Street Ported ) Trust Greddy Sus. I am also planning on taking most of the creature comforts out of my FD, like carpet and replacing it with diamond plate aluminum for the floor, or going for a single wiper setup. You know you have to sacrifice some weight somewhere. |
Thanks for the comments! Yeah I tried the translations. I am hoping if there is anyone that has very detailed specs of the 2006 touge monster it would be awesome! I believe this car raised the bar in Japan.
|
There both nice but i still prefer RE's it just drives alot smoother from what i can tell in the videos
|
hey Fine2NR thats a nice ride, im looking to do something similar to my fd when i get it....
|
touge monster
is this car used in japan or here in the states?

touge battle
I checked out your links on the touge battle which the re amemiya car was the camera car. Im curious if you got the battle that defeated the re amemiya car. and there is different tunning in fujita single turbo to4s vs re amemia 's stock 99 twin turbo. the fujita's fd tires cant keep up with its hp and amemias tires is excellent

Exactly, He doesn't even realize that third cars in those touge battles are camera cars. They haven't raced each other and I think the battle will be close. |

i am down in the charlestown area |
Summerville most of the time, unless I'm in Jacksonville with the inlaws.
|
Selvin are you part of any of the clubs down here
|
P.S. The re car is still the touge champ. That video that is posted with the feed car doesnt tell you one important detail. The re car is a follow car to get the race video from the rear. You mean to tell me that you couldnt tell that just by watching the video? Plus i hear that thing is single turbo tuned to somewhere around 350-380whp.

RE rx7
Such a sweet ass car

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I posted pics of my FD project. Here is the car with all the RE Amemiya parts installed. Hope everyone likes the build so far!
Attachment 706466 Attachment 706467 Currently motor is pretty much stock. Parts that I have waiting for install is an ARC intercooler, ARC Radiator, RE Amemiya Type B ECU. I was wondering with 91 pump gas what would I need to do to replicate the horsepower of the Touge Monster’s with stock twins? Should I use the RE Amemiya ECU I have or get an Apexi? What additional parts would I need? Any advice would be great! |
she's sexy.
keep up on the build. look forward to the end. |

Stock twins, If im correct, can produce around 325/350whp. My FD has stock twins and makes 330whp.
My mods are; Street ported motor 3mm Apex Seals HKS Dual air intake Power Fc and Commander Apexi AVCR HKS Hi Power Exhaust Hks Downpipe (3" all the way back, no cats) Solid motor mounts, A/c removed, carbon fiber Hood (Painted) Carbon trunk (Painted) Im sure im forgetting something.. Boost is set to .9 Bar. |
And Slevin, your gonna need a big turbo for 500whp, like a T51R or something comparable. Over the winter im installing a T51R in my FD.. Im not trying to replicated the Touge monster, its a sweet ass car i just want to go my own way.
Fine2nr, your car is Doooope! |

Wow, I'm impressed so far. Your car looks phenomenal. And the RE RX7 your replicating is the one that I also would like to replicate. If only money grew on trees...
Keep it up.:icon_tup: |
hello crap that's frickin' nice. i'm' glad I don't have that project a head of me, I'll always be broke!... although my project right now isn't saving me much much either... =/

It was only the J's Racing S2000 that defeated the undefeatable RE-Amemiya Rx7 in the touge battle at Gunsai:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-mm2ia7B9g Since it is raining, if you observe closely, you can see that RE-Amemiya Rx7 is having grip/ traction problems at the rear. The rear tires lose traction which makes the tail slide through the corner exits. Judging from the sound of the engine, even at the straight-aways, you call tell that the tires slip on the wet pavement indicating that they don't have much wet road traction. I suppose they made a wrong choice in their tire setup, giving J's Racing a lucky shot for the win. Although defeated before, just recently, Re-Amemiya was able to grab the title of Touge Monster from the J's Racing S2000 with a knockout victory:icon_tup:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLdzVGWWzbM |
Sorry to revive a dead thread but has anyone been able to get the specs on this car? I'm also one of those guys looking to replicate the car to some degree and interested to know if the car is on 99 twins or small single.

The RE FD is running 92-98 stock twins ported and modified. You can get them modified from Knight Sports or RE. Being as I'm in Japan I'ma just send mine to RE or Knight Sports eventually and pay the I think its 3,000$. The 99-02 turbos do make more power and are are better turbos until you modify them.
I talked to a rotary shop here in Okinawa, the owner who has experience with modified turbos and he said usually they wont even modify the 99+ turbos as they wont last long are are very unstable after modifying them and he also suggested me keeping the 92 spec turbos and having them modified. He has been building tuned rotarys since the 70s so I'll take his word. If you want fast straight line obviousy we all know single is the way to go. I want to keep as close reliable and quick as possible so I'm staying twin with my street ported enginge. I'll try to find out more details however if you guys want them as to what all is done to the car if you guys would like. And I will see if he knows what all is done to the car as well. This guy is one of the best along with my 2 friends that I have talked to, to gain knowledge about these cars since I purchased my car 3 months ago. So since I am still new I am going by what other people told me based on their experience not mine so don't flame etc.. just sharing knowledge that I was told based on their experience. |
i thought the reamemiya with stock tiwns beat the rx7 feed with the single on the touge course everytime? i need to check youtube.
|
I just watched the 2011 touge championship vol. 111.
Highlights- 420hp stock twins RE Amemiya FD beats all including 800hp R35 skyline. Fujitsu/Feed FD doesn't make it to event. I remember last year when someone from RE Amemiya announced on this forum they were producing 420rwhp on stock '92-98 twins and was met with skepticism. |
