Random ground?(and yes i searched)

Okay, so i blew my heater house yesterday, and i think i caught pretty quick, i shut her off within 10 seconds. This is probably where i made my mistake...local parts shop did not have hose, so i got one that looked similar(but still way off). any ways, i replaced hose, started car, and the buzzer was still going off. the coolant didnt seem to be bubbling from the neck, but i was pissed and dont recall perfectly. i turned the car off looked around for the bleeder, and when i went to start her back up to bleed the system and just wasnt happening. it wanted to start, i think i might have flooded it, but i havnt pulled out the plugs yet. sorry this is my first post, im just trying not to leave anything out. after the car wouldnt start i was looking around by the lower part of the heather hose, and noticed that there was a dissconected. its located right above the fuel filter(which the previous owner rigged up with tie wire) I have no clue where this goes, and i dont have a manual or i would have checked that. i would love to post a pic, but i got the car towed to a buddies, i can probably get one tomorrow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated..........oo and btw, the last time i got it to start, it did not seem to be smoking too bad just the usual before its warm, so i dont think i blew the coolant seals(at least i hope i didnt)...i just dont understand why i would start 2 or 3 times and then refuse to fire up.

If the coolant was low you should have had a very annoying low coolant buzzer, and a light.

Failure to start may not be related to the hose problem. The 86-88s are prone to hot start problems (leaking injectors, too rich to start when hot)...

If the coolant seals have been breached, it should show up as low compression, exhaust gases in the coolant (chemical test at any radiator shop), and a white fogbank produced once running after a cold start.

Service manuals are online, link in the FAQ section. I would fix the offending hose, top off the coolant (make sure you open the bleed screw at the top right of the radiator, fill until it overflows there, close the screw, and then fill until it reaches the cap above the thermostat housing). Test the low coolant sensor, make sure its working (perhaps the most important sensor on a rotary).

If it still will not start, go to the troubleshooting guide in the online FSM, and start down the items there in sequence.

Hot start procedure:

Pull EGI fuse (main fuse block, left front of engne compartment). Crank for 20 sec or so with full throttle. Replace the EGI fuse. Start normally.

If you shut the engine down before it stalled, that's a good sign that you may have got it before any damage occurred. If the engine began to run rough, or stalled outright, coolant in the combustion chamber(s) is likely (blown seal, cracked water jacket).

Read through this thread for more info the the hot start problem: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/looking-car-has-hot-start-problems-499744/.
