I have an 83 GSL that needs a new pre heat hose. Has anyone purchased one that fits. I just ordered one from parts geek that is supposed to be 1-1/2" diameter but doesn't fit. i need one with a slightly larger diameter.

welcome to the board.

just so we're on the same page, are you talking about the hose that runs up to the air filter housing? a metallic pipe covered with a thermal protective covering (feels like fabric)?

have you checked with Atkins?

well, even though you did not see it listed, it might be worth a phone call to them. i've seen over the years where members have gotten parts from them that other members didn't see listed. just putting it out there ....

at any rate, if they don't have it, what about something like this:
Amazon Amazon

This one? It does show on atkins, but as NLA. I don’t have a fb but I’m familiar with this type of hose on other cars with carbs.

If it is, at least you have an oem part number to track down.

I imagine you wouldn’t need this specific part, but rather find a generic version with a similar material.

I could be entirely wrong as I haven’t seen a picture. Could probably verify part numbers in the fsm.

I traced the part number to a Dorman 96130 however everywhere I tried to purchase this item it came up as NLA.

Thanks for everyone's help. I was able to find and order a Dorman 96130 pre heat hose from Advance Auto Parts and it fit perfectly.
