quick question
quick question
when the air pump and air relife silencer is not connected to the (ACV) does the (ACV) just suck in air or does it shut off till the air pump pushes air thru it???
oh haha im sorry 1988 se but never mind i put a block off plate on it and now its idleing by its self!!! im really excited bout it. it needs some odds and ends stuff done to it but its idleing
To answer your question, the ACV never "sucks in" anything. The air silencer tube attached to it is just a muffler to quiet down the noise of air pump air being pumped out above 3500 RPM. The only thing the ACV does is house the valves that direct airflow from the air pump to the exhaust ports, cat, intake (anti-afterburn) or open air.
