Quick Clutch question

On my 1990 Turbo II the previous owner put in a stage 3 racing clutch...it looks like he got the kit and I was wondering if I could still use the stage 3 clutch plate if I wanted to save a few bucks and get a stage 1 clutch disc by itself, outside a kit....Anyone know if it's ok to use a heavier duty plate on a lighter disc?

Sure, you can interchange disks while retaining the p-plate. But I would also be sure to check the wear on the p-plate before reusing it. If the "fingers" are bowed out a good amount, it should be replaced as well.

I bought my clutch disc from racingbeat just now. I have a few buddies that have the same mechanic and they recommended racingbeat...did I just make a mistake, or are they quality like I was told?
