CT Question on Gen 1 oil level sensor

I can not find a replacement for my 1980 oil level sensor, its not the float type used in later models. So I want to find a way out of this problem, any ideas welcome.

... or convert to the '81 to '92 type sensor. i really don't know all that's involved, but with all the people running newer engines in their S1 cars, there has to be some support around here for you. worst case scenario that i can imagine is replacing the oil pan with an '81-'85 unit and possibly some soldering to your current sensor circuit.
