problem with my fc please help

well the problem is that i took out the old exhaust system and put it a straight pipe, when i start my car it idles fine then a minute or two after the cold start my tach drops to 0 but the car still runs then its starts to bug out, i am not sure what it is,also do i have to plug up the small line the leads to the cat,:scratch

If you remove the cats, you also have to remove the air pump, ACV and split air hose (the pipe you mention). Otherwise you end up with vacuum leaks.

where is the acv located at?
