Question Power FC pro chip Queries ?

Hi Everybody,

Im new so please take it easy , I have tried searching for the information on the forum but with no luck so hopefully someone with better knowledge can help me out.

I have recently been lucky enough to purchase an Apexi Power FC Pro chip however I am unsure on how I go about fitting it, or if I can even do so.

The Chip came from a S2 power FC for Fd3s and I have the later model S4 in my FD, my understanding is that the S2 ecu had a slot for the chip but the S4 is soldered/different chip ??

Would the S4 accept the Pro chip if I got it soldered in place (assuming its the same size/type) or would it be better to locate an S2 ecu and start from there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks

I'm in the US and have never heard of an Apexi Power FC chip. That stated, the ecu did indeed change between series so one designed for an older series might not work with wha tyou have.

The Chip came from an Apexi power FC pro (drag edition) however the injector drivers burnt out so ecu is dead, however the chip is fine, so just trying to relocate it. its currently still in the old ecu but can easily be removed.

Thumbs up

Just a quick update to this, I managed to locate a S2 PFC to have the chip fitted, the ECU now has the additional features from the Pro version.

Including ignition instead of Fuel cut at rpm limiter (huge flames)

plus a static mph clutch activated limiter for launches. Great for hard launches in drag/drift and circuit.

Unfortunately It will be for sale shortly, so if anyone is interested let me know.
