Hello, I recently purchased a 1981 RX7 FB, the headlights wont pop, what are some common problems you've had, or can you point me to a thread about fixing the pop up headlights?

 

I don't recall any common issues with the headlights.

If they don't do anything at all, check the retractor fuse. May have been pulled. Then again, may have been pulled to hide another issue.

 

Will they turn on or not? If they turn on but don't pop up it could be that the motors that lift them are worn out. In FCs there is a way to put them up manually, you could try that as a temp fix if the motors are the problem. If it's not that then you may look at the wiring and your headlight switch for water damage or charring. The interior lighting on my FC stopped working for this reason, tinning the connections fixed the problem (2 years running strong).
