Please Help!!!

hi RX7 club,

i really need help with my FD, ok well my mechanic says that my wire harness for my engine needs to be replaced cuz the thermostat is not bein read or something of that nature... all i know is that it doesnt start right away cus the computer wont send enough fuel to start the car and ya so i found a wire harness on craigslist for $180and bought it... i took it down to the shop where my car is so he could put it in and a week later he told me that "it doesnt match up" i found this odd cuz from what i read is that the 93-94 are identical and it wouldnt mater.any takes on this or a way i can tell my mechanic what he can do to get my car out of his shop? i really would like some pics of a wire harness so i can see what mine is.

Well the thermostat never connects to a wiring harness. The one you pictured is called the front engine harness.

The one you probably want is called the emissions engine harness. There are a number of thermosensors (fuel, water, air) connected through it. It's also the one harness in the engine bay that gets roasted and destroyed by engine heat. You can get them for about $800 from Malloy Mazda. (You can find contact info in the 3rd gen FAQ)
