PCV System
I am a little confused about the PCV system on FDs. My 1993 factory manual shows the PCV vacuum source connected to the nipple on the plastic oil filler neck. That part I understand. The other nipple on the filler neck then goes to a filtered air source. The part I don't understand is that the two nipples are right next to eachother!
How is this supposed to work? The way I see it, the PCV system will just be sucking mostly ambient filtered air rather than the crankcase vapors. Every piston engine I have ever work on sources the crankcase vapors and the air inlet from opposite sides of the engine.
Is there a better way to route this? I saw someone mention using the rear oil return, which would be a posibility for me since I am running a single turbo setup.

Jeff5808 - I was referring to the fact that the crankcase vapors (on NA piston engines) receive their air supply from one end of the engine and their vacuum source from the other. Not related to intake/exhaust location.
