Part Identification?
Hey guys I was wondering what these two cannisters are? They look like they're part of my Vacuum system but the top one's cable that went to my throttle hasn't been connected since I bought the car about 3 weeks ago. I'm slowly cleaning up the mess left behind by the P.O. and the other P.O. who swapped the 13b+turbo into it.
Thanks

The top one is your cruise control unit, that attaches to the throttle body by a cable.
The lower one is the Charcoal cannister for fuel and oil vapor...emission stuff..sort of.

So then is the bottom one unnecessary if we don't have to do emissions testing in my county? I run cat-less too. I'll probably remove the Cruise Control unit. Thank you so much

A tube from the gas tank runs to it to evaporate any fuel vapor in the tank.
IT also takes the oil vapor from the oil filler tube and center iron.
You can get around the Latter with a Catch can,but you would be "on your own" with the Fuel vapor aspect of it.
I will not voice any opinion on that.!
