Painting 3rd Generation Interior Parts

Just a word of caution . . . I was painting my interior parts based on some of the advise from these forums. I got the idea to bake one of the parts in my oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes to cure the paint.

Major mistake! The part melted and now I need to find a replacement.

Hope I can save someone else this trouble.

No one on this website would tell you to put a plastic part in an oven at that temp. It is so not necessary.

If someone did, please provide the link so I can slap them and then destroy their posts.

Yea umm, you only bake powercoated steel/aluminum parts....Plastic likes to melt at 200 degrees!
